Beloved members of Zion Gospel Assembly,
Grace, mercy, and peace be multiplied to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, we stand on one of the most powerful revelations ever given in Scripture—the moment when God revealed Himself to Moses as “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). This divine declaration is not just a name; it is the foundation of our faith, the anchor of our hope, and the assurance of God’s eternal presence in our lives.
This message is for you—for your present season, your struggles, your prayers, and your expectations. The God who revealed Himself as “I AM” is alive, active, and moving among us today.
The Revelation of “I AM”
When Moses encountered God at the burning bush, he was a man full of questions, insecurities, and doubts. He had fled Egypt, lived in obscurity, and now stood before a divine calling that seemed far beyond his ability.
When Moses asked, “Who shall I say sent me?” God responded simply: “I AM WHO I AM.”
This response was profound. God did not give a limited description. He did not define Himself by a single attribute. Instead, He revealed that He is self-existent, self-sufficient, and eternal.
“I AM” means:
God is not dependent on anyone or anything
God is complete in Himself
God is everything His people need
To Moses, who felt inadequate, God was saying: “You may not be enough, but I AM.”
Beloved, this same message applies to us. In moments when we feel weak, confused, or unqualified, God reminds us that our strength is not in ourselves—but in the Great I AM.
The Unchanging Nature of God
“I AM” also declares that God never changes. The God who spoke to Moses is the same God we worship today.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is still faithful.
The God who guided Israel through the wilderness, parted the Red Sea, and provided manna from heaven has not lost His power.
In a world that is constantly changing—economies shifting, people changing, circumstances uncertain—God remains constant.
His promises are still true
His Word is still powerful
His presence is still real
Hebrews 13:8 reminds us: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
This means that whatever God has done before, He is able to do again.
His Hand Is Not Shortened
The Word declares in Isaiah 59:1: “The arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear.”
Beloved, God’s hand is not shortened!
Sometimes we may feel like our problems are too big:
A prolonged illness
Financial struggles
Family challenges
Spiritual dryness
But let us remember: If God delivered Israel from Egypt through Moses, He can deliver you.
If He preserved Daniel in the lion’s den, He can protect you.
If He gave victory to David over Goliath, He can fight your battles.
If He sustained Elijah in famine, He can provide for your needs.
There is no limitation in God. The limitation is often in our faith.
Let us rise and declare: “Lord, Your hand is still mighty! Your power is still active! Your grace is still sufficient!”
Jehovah Nissi — The Lord Our Banner
In Exodus 17, God revealed Himself as Jehovah Nissi—“The Lord is my Banner.”
A banner represents identity, authority, and victory.
When Israel fought Amalek, the battle was won not merely by physical strength, but by spiritual alignment. As long as Moses lifted his hands, Israel prevailed.
This teaches us a powerful truth: victory comes through dependence on God.
Today:
Christ is our Banner
Prayer is our strength
Faith is our weapon
When we stand under God’s banner, we are covered, protected, and empowered.
No matter what battle you face—whether it is spiritual, emotional, or physical—you are not fighting alone.
The Lord goes before you. The Lord stands with you. The Lord fights for you.
Jehovah Rapha — The Lord Our Healer
God also revealed Himself as Jehovah Rapha—“I am the Lord who heals you.”
Healing is not just an act of God—it is His nature.
God heals in many ways:
Physical healing from disease
Emotional healing from pain
Spiritual healing from sin
Relational healing in families
In the New Testament, we see this healing power manifested through the apostles:
Through Peter, the lame were healed. Through Paul, extraordinary miracles occurred. Through John and James, the early church experienced the power of God.
This same power is available today.
Do not let the enemy convince you that healing is not for you. Do not let circumstances define your faith.
Instead, declare: “Jehovah Rapha is my healer. By His power, I am restored.”
The God of Every Generation
Our God is a generational God.
He was the God of Moses. He was the God of David. He was the God of Daniel.
And in the New Testament: He was the God of Paul, Peter, James, and John.
Now, He is our God.
God is not limited to history. He is active in the present.
The miracles we read about are not just stories—they are testimonies of what God can still do.
He is raising a new generation of believers who will:
Walk in faith
Operate in power
Live in holiness
Demonstrate His glory
Zion Gospel Assembly is part of this divine plan.
God’s Perfect Time and Season
Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”
God’s timing is always perfect—even when it does not align with our expectations.
Consider: Moses waited 40 years before stepping into leadership. David was anointed but waited years before becoming king. Daniel endured trials before experiencing promotion.
Even in the New Testament: Paul went through seasons of preparation, suffering, and growth.
Beloved, waiting is not punishment—it is preparation.
In your waiting season:
God is shaping your character
God is strengthening your faith
God is aligning your destiny
Do not lose heart. Do not give up.
Declare: “Lord, I trust Your timing. Your plan is perfect.”
The Power of Faith in “I AM”
When God says “I AM,” it means He is everything you need.
When you are weak—He is your strength. When you are sick—He is your healer. When you are lost—He is your guide. When you are troubled—He is your peace. When you are in need—He is your provider.
Faith is believing that God is who He says He is.
Moses did not succeed because of his ability—but because of his obedience and trust in God.
Likewise, we are called to trust in the “I AM” nature of God.
A Call to Zion Gospel Assembly
Beloved church, God is calling us to a higher level.
This is a season to:
Deepen our prayer life
Strengthen our faith
Walk in unity
Serve with passion
Let Zion Gospel Assembly be:
A house of prayer
A center of revival
A place of healing
A light to the community
Let us not be ordinary believers. Let us be people who carry the presence of God.
Walking in His Promises
God’s promises are yes and amen.
What He has spoken over your life will come to pass.
Even if it seems delayed, it is not denied.
Hold on to His Word. Speak His promises. Live in expectation.
The same God who fulfilled His promises to Moses, David, and Daniel will fulfill His promises to you.
Encouragement for Every Believer
No matter where you are today:
In joy or sorrow
In abundance or lack
In strength or weakness
God is with you.
He says: “I AM with you in your struggle.” “I AM with you in your waiting.” “I AM with you in your victory.”
You are not alone.
Closing Exhortation
Beloved, let this truth be rooted in your heart:
God is “I AM.”
He is not limited by your circumstances. He is not hindered by your past. He is not restricted by your present.
His hand is not shortened. His power is not weakened. His love never fails.
Trust Him. Follow Him. Believe Him.
Closing Prayer
Heavenly Father, We thank You for revealing Yourself as the Great I AM. You are our Banner, our Healer, our Provider, and our Strength. Teach us to trust Your timing and rely on Your power. Strengthen every member of Zion Gospel Assembly. Let Your presence fill our lives and our church. Let miracles, healing, and restoration flow among us. We surrender ourselves to You completely. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you. And may you always remember—He is “I AM,” and He is more than enough.
